The dust impact analyser on board the Giotto spacecraft provide more than 3000 mass spectra of cometary dust grains during its flyby of Halley's comet. About 120 of them were transmitted in mode 0 which gives direct access to the mass numbers. A detailed analysis of these spectra has been done including the composition of single grains and a global elemental composition. The variation of the elemental composition with the grain's mass clearly shows a dependence between C, N, and H on one side, and between Si and O on the other side.
