It is presently hypothesized that the sequence of events resulting in the formation of the opaque assemblages of the Allende Egg 6 began with the condensation of refractory metal alloys, followed by the incorporation of metal condensates into the host inclusion. These events were followed by the oxidation and sulfurization of the opaque assemblages, in conjunction with an extensive redistribution of elements during alteration. Finally, there was an adjustment of mineral assemblages to the ambient fO2 and fS2 at lower temperatures.
