I demonstrate that the two-point correlation function is always a superior test of burst repetition than the version of the nearest neighbor test invented by Quashnock and Lamb. Because no evidence of burst repetition appears in a two-point correlation function analysis of the 1B BATSE burst catalog, the signal from the nearest neighbor test must be a statistical fluctuation.
