We present spectral line observations of the Taurus Molecular Cloud at 8 to 23 GHz with the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope. Our observations of strong HC9N transitions are the basis for an estimation of the physical temperature of the molecular cloud at the cyanopolyyne peak. We fit the measured integrated HC9N line intensities to an isothermal cloud temperature and find the physical temperature of the HC9N region is very cold, 5.5 +/- 0.5 K.
