The Jupiter-family comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 broke apart in several fragments at its last three perihelion passages. In May 2006 it made a close approach to Earth (0.08 AU) that enabled a detailed investigation of its chemical content through radio spectroscopy. Using the CSO 10-m, IRAM 30-m and APEX 12-m telescopes we observed the outgassing of several molecules in the two main fragments 73P-B and 73P-C. In addition, the water outgassing rate was measured simultaneously through the observation of the H2O(110-101) 557 GHz line with the Odin satellite or via observations of the 18-cm lines of OH with the Nancay radio telescope. One of the objectives of these observations was to compare the chemical composition of two different pieces of the same comet. 73P-C is thought to be the main remnant of the nucleus which broke up in 1995. On the other hand, 73P-B is a smaller piece that was undergoing continuous fragmentation during the observations and exposing possibly less processed comet material to the open space. Seven molecules - CH3OH, H2CO, HNCO, HCN, CH3CN, H2S and CS - were detected in both fragments. We present the comparison of their abundance relative to water or HCN. Compositional similarities of the two fragments (e.g. depletion of CH3OH, enrichment in HCN,..) would be a clue to homogeneity of cometary nuclei.
