Characteristics of the long and short time scale continuum variability of Seyfert galaxies NGC 4151, 5548, 7469 and 1275 are compared using UBVRI simultaneous observations obtained with the same telescope and the same technique. Amplitudes of long-term variations of NGC 4151, NGC 5548 and NGC 7469 are higher in the UV region than in the near IR, but the amplitude of the long-term variability of NGC 1275 is practically independent of wave band. The Seyfert galaxies show a mixture of flicker noise and shot noise on timescale of years, but in NGC 1275 only flicker noise is observed at all wave bands. Intra-night variability is transient in character and manifests itself with different probabilities for different galaxies.
