A comparison is made of ionospheric gravity wave periods as measured by several different experimental techniques. These include high frequency CW doppler, vertical incidence ionosondes, Faraday rotation measurements of total electron content and refraction of VHF signals from a geostationary satellite. These observations are found to yield an increase in power at the longer periods as the height increases, which is consistent with gravity wave theory.
