Meridian circle observations of the positions of FK5 stars in the
declination range -20° to +80° made at Bordeaux and La Palma
during the years 1984 to 1987 reveal systematic errors in the FK5
reaching 0".1 1 in parts of the sky. A few stars have accidental errors
of 0".2 greater.
