The differential infrared observations of the sun obtained at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory are compared with the differential radius observations for the 160-minute period solar oscillation. The observed relative phases restrict /m/ to 2, a restriction in agreement with the l = 2, m = 2 classification of the 160-minute period oscillation by Hill (1986). The observed relative amplitudes also give information which is consistent with theoretical predictions on the radial dependence of the temperature eigenfunction at the bottom of the photosphere.
