Methods of adjusting time and latitude observations are compared. Data obtained with the photographic zenith tube (PZT) instrument at the Main Astronomical Observatory of the USSR Academy of Sciences were used as a reference for the comparison. Four modified versions of the chain method and two modified versions of the least squares method were compared. It is shown that all the adjustment methods considered were practically equivalent and free of methodological errors. An approximate criterion is proposed for a priori evaluation of the efficiency of the different adjustment methods.
