During November and December of 1991, a series of atmospheric extinction and night sky brightness measurements were made on Wuling Mountain and at Xinglong Station of Beijing Astronomical Observatory using V filter. The results indicated that the extinction coefficient on Wuling Mountain was much smaller than that at Xinglong Station and the night sky for the Mt. Wuling was 0.2 mag/1 sq arc sec darker.
