In the present paper three models for determination of the temperature field have been discussed as follows: analytical model, one dimensional finite element method (FEM) model and three dimensional FEM with cylindrical symmetry model. The models have been applied to temperature field in 08 rimming low carbon steel sheets with thickness 2.6mm and 0.45mm during their surface treatment by Nd:Glass pulsed laser. A comparison between the results and information obtained via the three models is given in the paper.
