We compare magnetospheric particle acceleration events, their auroral
response and their signatures in radio measurements at Earth, Saturn and
Jupiter using observations from IMAGE, Cassini and Galileo. We discuss
implications of plasma transport and heating from the magnetotail to the
inner magnetosphere driven by plasma instabilities.
