The characteristics of wave disturbances of F2-layer electron density during sunrise and sunset periods are compared on the basis of data obtained during the morning terminator period at the Archangel and Dushanbe stations on 17 and 19 March 1988 as well as data obtained during the evening terminator period at the Gorky station on 6 and 7 Dec. 1988. Similar height-related behaviors of the electron-density disturbances at evening and morning hours were obtained. Specifically, the time of appearance/disappearance of solar illumination at heights of 100-140 km coincides with the commencement of the development of the high-frequency component of the electron-density variation spectrum in the F2-layer.
