Based on 1284 photographic observations of 10 selected minor planets made at the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and at the Mykolaiv Astronomical Observatory during 1952 - 1976, the authors compared two methods for reducing observed positions from one catalog system to another. They used the Yale, SAG, and AGK3 catalogs. Both methods yield virtually the same results. Recommendations are given for deriving the optimum systematic differences between catalogs.
