A compact coaxial optical system is described that employs a Cassegrain
telescope with switchable primary mirrors plus a catadioptric relay. The
system can operate in the visible, near/thermal IR, and millimeter
wavebands, is athermal, and provides multispectral compensation for a
protective dome.
