We reconsider the question of the excitation rate of a particle detector in the quantum flux due to an accelerated mirror in a noncommutative space-time [R. Casadio , Phys. Rev. D 73, 044019 (2006)PRVDAQ0556-282110.1103/PhysRevD.73.044019] and show that, contrary to the result in the paper indicating an increased value compared to that in the usual space, the excitation rate is smaller and vanishes at infinite times.
