We reevaluate some of the data presented recently by Hinnefeld et al. [Phys. Rev. C 58, 2563 (1998)] and use, in particular, a more accurate value for the ratio Γγ/Γp of the partial widths of the 2750 keV level in 37K. Our analysis essentially confirms the conclusion drawn by these authors concerning the rapid depletion of 36Ar at explosive hydrogen-burning conditions.
