Data is presented for Michigan Basin oils that indicate, in addition to
the three distinct oil types, oils of mixed composition, intermediate
between the Silurian and Ordovician types, also exist. These mixed oils
which occur in Devonian (Detroit River) reservoirs are identified
primarily by their isoprenoid and normal paraffin compositions.
