In connection with the International Halley Watch (IHW), the observational program 'Photographic Photometry of the Comet Halley in four spectral regions' was conducted in the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in La Silla, Chile. This program had the objective to observe the structural changes in the various main components of the comet, taking into account the acquisition of data which are as homogeneous as possible. During the time from February 17 to April 18, 1986, a total of more than 1200 photographs in four spectral regions could be obtained on the basis of 60 nights of observation. This article presents a selection of these photographs. It is pointed out that photographs of the coma, in particular, show promise to provide new scientific information.
