Optimum and approximate-optimum modes of space vehicle motion are determined with attention given to restrictions on gravitational acceleration and on the vehicle skin temperature. A combined orbit plane rotation maneuver is analyzed for a circular orbit with a three-impulse structure. The first impulse is imported at the height of the initial orbit and facilitates re-entry into the atmosphere at a specified trajectory angle. The second impulse places the vehicle onto the transfer orbit, and the third impulse returns the vehicle to orbital velocity. Changes in orbit inclination are studied using aerodynamic forces, with attention given to restrictions on gravitational load and vehicle skin temperature. The effect of these restrictions on vehicle weight gain when the combined maneuver is executed is compared with rocket dynamical data.
