Two areas of 1 sq deg each 'on' and 'off' the Coma cluster of galaxies have been examined by low-resolution slitless spectroscopy obtained at the prime focus of the 4 m Mayall reflector. 21 emission-line QSO candidates were found in the approximate ranges z = 0.3-3 and m1475 = 18-22 in the cluster field and 19 similar candidates in the 'blank' field nearby. Three additional emission-line objects were found. One is the known unresolved planetary H4-1 = PK 49 + 88.1 deg; the other two appear to be unresolved extragalactic H II regions.
