The radiation flux that emerges from a stellar photosphere when the coefficient of electron scattering has a constant ratio to the coefficient of true absorption is determined. The problem is solved by exact and approximate methods. The spectrophotometric gradient is determined as a function of the parameters characterizing the photosphere; and it is shown that the electron scattering can both raise and lower the color temperature. Electron scattering in photospheres of WR stars is considered as an example.
