Broad-band filter linear polarization movies in the green and the orange spectral intervals were used to derive the 2D distributions of the relative color index RCI for the corona of July 22, 2009 in the range <1.5 R&sun;. Different RCIs for different coronal structures are revealed. Polar plumes and the bottom of the streamers are traced by the blue color. The diffuse red background is not changing with distance and is seen between the polar plumes and streamers. Radially moving coronal electrons and the sky brightness are noted to be responsible for the color variations.
