1998 SG35, discovered by Spacewatch in September 1998, is the eighth known Centaur. The Centaurs are presumably a transitory transition population linking objects in the Kuiper Belt and short period comets in the inner solar system. We will present the BVR colors of this new object, obtained with the WIYN telescope, as well as about 12 hours of R band photometry, spread over 3 nights, obtained with the Steward Observatory 2.3 m telescope. The R band photometry will give at least preliminary information on the lightcurve of this object.
