The change of spin angular momentum of an asteroid by a cratering impact is approximately eta (r0 x pn) + zeta (r0 x pt). Here, the momenta of an impactor, pn and pt, are transferred to asteroidal momenta with the effiencies, eta and zeta , in the components normal and tangential to local asteroidal surface, respectively. The impact point is located at r0 from the center of mass of the asteroid. We numerically simulated the collisional evolution of asteroid rotations for multiple random impacts. The efficiencies, eta and zeta , obtained in our laboratory experiments were used. Results show that spheroidal asteroids obtain angular momentum more efficiently than spherical asteroids.
