A study is presented of the collinear relative equilibria of the n-body problem, along with the associated relative equilibria of the restricted n + 1 body problem. The third theorem given enumerates all relative equilibria generated by analytical continuation from the configurations considered. By combining Arenstorf's (1982) result to the results of an additional theorem, a complete enumeration is given of relative equilibria in the four-body problem which are generated by analytical continuation of the restricted four-body problem.
