Collaborative Computational Project No. 7 (CCP7), concerned with the analysis of astronomical spectra, was established by the UK Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) for an initial three-year period commencing 1980 October 1. After two renewals, CCP7 will now continue until at least 1986 September 30. This article outlines computational facilities made available to astronomers in Britain (and elsewhere) through CCP7, and summarizes scientific results obtained up to 1984 December.
