Nuclear matter can be well treated with relativistic point-coupling models.1-3 The quantities that characterize the thermodynamics of these models need to be calculated numerically and self-consistently to fit the nuclear matter properties. Here we simplify still further this approach by forcing the scalar and the barionic densities to be equal, ρs = ρ. In this procedure, the nonlinear relativistic point-coupling models can be seen as analytically solvable and the results obtained near the saturation density are almost the same comparing to the ones obtained without using the approach. This approximation may become important if one wants to connect the nonrelativistic limit of hadronic models to nonrelativistic Skyrme ones.
