Consider a representation $\rho\colon L \to \mathfrak{gl}(V)$ where $L$ is a
Lie algebra and $V$ is a finite dimensional vector space. We prove the analog
of Amitsur's conjecture on asymptotic behavior for codimensions of polynomial
identities of $\rho$.
