The number of observed cycles of a coalescing binary, the signal-to-noise ratio with matched filtering, the event rate and the accuracies in the determination of the chirp mass, time of arrival and the amplitude are calculated for a spherical detector of large bandwidth, showing their relation to the bandwidth and the resonant frequency. Further, the probability of detection and false alarm improve when considering both windows at fundamental and first harmonic frequencies. Spherical detectors of large bandwidth are promising tools for the analysis of coalescing binaries and require novel applications of data analysis techniques.
