We investigate how a correspondence coaction gives rise to a coaction on the
associated Cuntz-Pimsner algebra. We apply this to recover a recent result of
Hao and Ng concerning Cuntz-Pimsner algebras of crossed products of
correspondences by actions of amenable groups.
