CO (J = 1-0) emission has been mapped around GSS 30, one of the protostar candidates in the Rho Oph core. The data revealed the presence of an asymmetric outflow centered on GSS 30. The redshifted emission has a large extent in the SW direction, while the blue has a smaller extent to the SE. Also, the K band (2.2 microns) nebulosity around GSS 30 has been mapped. The nebulosity extends to the NE and SW with the NE extension larger than the SW one. The redshifted CO outflow and the extension of the IR nebulosity are both aligned parallel with the direction of the surrounding magnetic field which is inferred from the IR polarimetry of embedded sources. This suggests that the magnetic field is an important factor in the formation of young stellar objects and/or mass-outflow phenomena.
