We have recently completed CO (1-0) and (2-1) observations of eight low surface brightness (LSB) galaxies with the IRAM 30m telescope. When combined with all previous LSB galaxies studies of molecular gas, we see that molecular gas has been detected only in LSB galaxies with active galactic nuclei, to the 3σ ~ 0.0003 K km s-1 level. Follow-up optical observations of the galaxies reveal that at least one of the LSB AGN systems has a nearby (also LSB) companion with which it is likely interacting. If this is the case, it may be the first known case of tidally triggered AGN activity in a pre-existing LSB host. The CO observations, as well as follow-up opctal spectroscopy, 21-cm data, and optical images, for the LSB systems with detected CO will be presented. *The Arecibo Observatory is part of the National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center, which is operated by Cornell University under a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation.
