Observations of CO J = 1-0 emission from six points in NGC 5195 are reported. CO was detected at five of the six points and is clearly extended to the south (toward NGC 5194). Previous observations of NGC 5195 have failed to detect CO, probably because the line widths are much greater than expected. Some spectra show evidence for two distinct emitting regions, giving rise to a narrow and wide component of the CO line. The narrow component arises from an overlying spiral arm of NGC 5194, and the wide component arises from molecular gas inside NGC 5195. Molecular gas exists at least 2.5 kpc from the center of NGC 5195, unlike other SO galaxies observed by Sage and Wrobe (1989).
