Observations of the λ4215 CN and λ4300 CH band strengths are presented for a sample of 36 giants in the globular cluster NGC 6171 (Cl 1629-129). A substantial range of CN strengths is observed among giants of similar magnitude and color. Giants in the magnitude range 13.8 < V < 15.0 display a bimodal distribution of CN strengths. There is a general anticorrelation between the CN and CH band strengths; however, a small number of stars are found to show enhancements of both the CN and CH bands.
