The clustering of quasars has been analyzed by comparing the two-point correlation function, the cluster analysis curves, percolation parameters, and multiplicity function of three quasar samples with those of the corresponding Monte Carlos samples. No obvious clustering of quasars has been found. This indicates that in the z about 2 era the distribution of the visible matter had no obvious structure, which supports the cluster picture that the small-scale structure might be formed before or after the formation of the large-scale structure.
