We report on two fully self-consistent hydrodynamical simulations run, in the context of a ΛCDM cosmological model, with the DEVA code. Galaxy-like-objects of different morphologies form. The assembly patterns identified in these simulations give support to the ab initio scenario to explain morphological differentiation, even if violent events at lower z could also have played a role.
