The authors, after evaluating several computational techniques, have programmed an elementary equation set for the electronic calculator and/or micro-computer investigation of undisturbed two-body elliptical orbit and parabolic orbit close-encounter situations involving major and minor members of the Solar System. This article presents the key theoretical precepts and practical applications of their generalised methodology.
