This is an exciting time for astronomy research. Never before has so much astronomy data been so easily available to the general public. But a difficulty has been making it accessible to and usable by multiple audiences. Our team, led by the Adler Planetarium, has designed a teacher professional development and student research program to allow participants to actively participate in quasar research using tools developed for the cyberinfrastructure (SCI-0537460). This allows students to learn about science through meaningful science research.
