A new class of Very Low Luminosity Objects (VeLLOs; Lint ≤ 0.1 {L_&sun;}) has been discovered by the Spitzer Space Telescope. We present a line survey of 9 VeLLO candidates with 11 molecular lines. The observed line intensities are lower comparing with Class 0 and Class I protostars because of the small central heating. The {HCO^+} blue profiles are seen in the L328 region, indicating possible infall. One possible explanation of the low luminosities is very low accretion rate following by episodes of short-lived bursts. To test the theories, we calculate the molecular abundances self-consistently with an evolutionary model incorporating episodic accretion. The modeling results show CO and N_2 evaporate from infalling grains during burst phases and can freeze back onto grain surfaces during quiescent phases. Comparing the modeling results and observations, the line intensities of gas-phase CO and {N_2H^+}, as well as CO_2 and CO ice feature can be good ways to trace the thermal history and distinguish between models.
