We present molecular line observations toward L43, which has a starless core and a Class I star evolving in the same environment. With a goal of testing the chemical characteristics of objects at different evolutionary stages, we adopt a chemo-dynamical model to calculate the molecular abundances. We compare the observed lines with model predictions. The effects of different timescales and density evolution prior to collapse are discussed.
