The parameters of the atmospheres for 91 Bp and Ap stars in the age range lg t = 6.4 - 8.7 have been obtained. A conclusion is made that during the main-sequence phase of evolution the degree of peculiarity of the stars does not depend on their age. It is suggested that the chemically peculiar stars obtain the observed peculiarities at the earliest stages of star formation, in the pre-main-sequence phase.
