We present the results of our chemical survey of comet C/2003 K4 (LINEAR) performed on November 2004 with NIRSPEC at Keck II. We detected H2O, OH*, C2H6, CH3OH, H2CO, CH4, and HCN using high-resolution spectroscopy at infrared wavelengths. We observe bright molecular emission lines, and from the measured line-by-line ratios we retrieve rotational temperatures, OPRs and spin temperatures. Two instrument settings (KL1, KL2) were required to sample all species, and they both sample water lines, thereby allowing us to measure mixing ratios (relative to water) with high confidence. We compare the composition and cosmogonic indicators in C/2003 K4 with those of other Oort Cloud comets, and further examine a possible formation path for this comet.
