Spectrograms with a reciprocal dispersion of 6 A/mm have been used to study the atmosphere of the K III star Alpha Ser. The chemical composition has been determined by the method of model atmospheres. The majority of elements have the solar abundance or exceed it by 0.2-0.4 dex. Reliable excesses are found for sodium Na I (0.8 dex), vanadium VI, and chromium Cr (0.5 dex).
