Stars: Abundances, Binaries: Symbiotic, Planetary Nebulae: General

We performed optical spectroscopy and chemical abundance analysis for
five symbiotic systems: He2-106, He2-127, He2-171, H1-36, and SS122. The
calculated He abundances and elemental ratios are consistent with the
scenario of symbiotics being wide binary systems where the wind from a
cool giant is ionized by a hot source.
