Characteristics of the planetary nebula NGC 7662 are considered from the standpoint of photoionization calculations. A schematic density distribution suggested by monochromatic plates is used to derive a photoionization model including the empirical charge transfer rates proposed by Pequignot et al. (1978). The results are discussed and compared with those of Bohlin et al. (1978).
