We are conducting a search for, and analysis of the extended X-ray emission surrounding AGN (on scales of 10s of kpc). Here we present results for a sub-set of nearby Seyfert galaxies observed using the CXO ACIS-S3 chip (both with and/or without the gratings in the optical system). This (incomplete) sample consists of 20-30 objects selected from the (hard X-ray selected) Piccinotti sample, as well of objects selected using other criteria. We will illustrate and contrast the characteristics of the extended x-ray emission seen in our 'sample', and investigate how it may be related to other AGN-related phenomena such as the NLR, the central mass/luminosity etc, with the ultimate goal of testing unification schemes. We will also discribe briefly the statistics and characteristics of the numerous serendipitous sources detected within the S3 observations. This work is supported by NASA.
