Time series hf'(t) obtained with a digital ionosonde during a magnetic bay disturbance are analyzed, and a comparison is made with results obtained on a magnetically quiet day. An intensification of long-periodic fluctuations (with periods of about 20 min) in the E-region and an intensfication of the coupling of fluctuations at different heights of the E-region were observed during the bay disturbance. Irregularities with pronounced vertical sizes of 6-8 km were observed in the F2 layer.
