In the present paper, experimental data are compared with hadron-nucleus interaction models in which the hadron-nucleus interactions are interpreted as resulting from individual collisions with the nucleons. It is shown that the number of grey tracks generated in interactions of protons and pions with photoemulsion nuclei may be used as a parameter that indicates adequatly the number of collisions in a nucleus.
